Stella Maris Catholic Primary School, Shellharbour was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1958 and is a part of the Diocese of Wollongong. We are a welcoming school that has a proud history and tradition of service to the local community.
The school is an integral part of the local Catholic Parish of All Saints and we work closely with our parish priest, Father Joe Nguyen. Our school has a strong link with the local parish and the responsibility of education is actively shared with our parents who are closely involved in the life of the school. Read more About Us.
Our school vision, 'Reverence the Story of all People', guides us in everything we do. All members of our school community are unconditionally accepted for who they are and are appreciative of each other, so that everyone is understood with respect and compassion. Meet our staff here. We actively look for opportunities to develop student leadership skills as we all share in the responsibility of helping make Stella Maris a great school. See What We Offer.
Learning is given the highest priority as we strive to fulfil our mission of being 'a faith-filled, respectful community of learners'. As educators we believe that all students can achieve improved learning outcomes and we engage in collaboration to support this goal. Apart from implementing outstanding programs in Religious Education, literacy and numeracy, there is also a strong focus on effectively using technology to enhance learning including our 1:1 student iPad program in Years 5 and 6. We look forward to welcoming you into our school community and working with you to support, develop and extend your child’s education.
